Thursday Night #10

I am taking away from this talk that I can do something very personal. To just be myself and be true to how I feel about my project. It also reassured me not everything is going to go great, that it takes practice to get things right. I don't have much time but I do believe I should play with my materials as much as I can so know the different things that I can do to alter them in a not so terrible, train wreck sort of way. Also, I don't need fancy and expensive materials. For example, they made a dress made entirely out of craft paper and wire. Use what I can, alter it in an extreme way, and document it well.

On a personal note. I really liked how personal it was. Everyone was themselves and had to perform something that was extremely personal. Which can be extremely terrifying and very uplifting at the same time when done in front of tons of people. I have personal experience with a video project I just did in my writing class, I did it about a very big insecurity I have of myself and showed it to a big group of people. As scary as it was, it gave me courage.
